Happy New Year!
To say our final goodbyes to 2021, here is a recap of some of Mercury's top moments in 2021.
1. Mercury's First Announced Employees of the Month
One month after Mercury's start, the company has held its first Employees of the Month ceremony to acknowledge two diligent workers: Nina Dhillon and Emily Hao (Design Manager).
Emily is commended for her work on Mercury's logo and theme, creating Mercury's great looks!
Nina is honored for her work ethics in her department to start the business off strong!
These two workers have been voted by the company as Mercury's first positive role models recognized in 2021. Congratulations!
2. Fall 2021 VE Trade Show
Mercury participated in its first trade show on December 9th, 2021.
Employees took time out of their day to promote our product and make sales. At the end of show, Mercury made a total of over $300,000 in sales!
December 9th is marked a successful day in the books!
3. Business Plan Team's Preparation
Over the past few months, Srivatsa Kundurthy, Sehaj Munot, Aarush Rompally, Tanvi Mavani, Audrey Kuo, and Ria Sharma set meetings to prepare and practice their presentation for the business plan competition in January.
They have presented in front of Mr. Presti over Zoom and received feedback.
We thank the business plan team for all the time put into representing Mercury positively!
4. Ms. Blake's Retirement
Last but not least, Ms. Blake, the light of Mercury, said her farewells to Morris Hills High School on December 23, 2021.
Mercury's employees planned a surprise retirement gift for the beloved teacher. Students shared their positive memories with her during her last day in the company and classroom.
We wish Ms. Blake the best!
